The Process and Benefits of Becoming Certified in Biofeedback

Are you interested in getting your BCIA Biofeedback Certification? Although entry-level Biofeedback Certification requires at least a bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field, there are no educational prerequisites for technicians.

For licensed healthcare professionals, biofeedback is easily integrated into your existing clinical practice, for example, psychotherapy, addiction treatment, and health psychology.

The Steps for Earning Your BCIA Biofeedback Certification.

First, you'll need to complete a BCIA-Accredited Training Program. BCIA-Approved Biofeedback Training Programs are available through universities and vendors like BioSource Software. Once you've completed a training program, you'll need to satisfy BCIA's Anatomy & Physiology requirement, complete BCIA's practice and mentoring requirements, and pass the BCIA Certification Examination.

After passing the BCIA Certification Examination, you'll need to submit a completed BCIA Application for Certification, along with the required fees. Once your application has been reviewed and approved, you'll be issued your BCIA Biofeedback Certification.
