BioSource Software's story began in 1978 with a simple but powerful conviction: that healthcare professionals deserve access to the very best science, delivered in a way that truly teaches.
Harper & Row bundled our first product with their flagship textbook, Tortora's Principles of Anatomy and Physiology — and that spirit of pairing rigorous science with exceptional teaching has guided everything we've done since.
Nearly five decades later, we remain a family-owned company with that same founding passion, now serving civilian and military healthcare professionals worldwide with courses in biofeedback, heart rate variability biofeedback, neurofeedback, and quantitative EEG.

Behind every BioSource course is a team of recognized educators who love what they do.
Fred Shaffer, PhD, BCB, BCB-HRV — an Allen Fellow and Professor of Psychology at Truman State University with 50 years of teaching experience — leads course development alongside neurofeedback and qEEG experts John S. Anderson and John Davis, PhD, and clinical psychologist Zachary M. Meehan, PhD, whose work on neurodevelopmental disorders and HRV biofeedback enriches everything we publish.
Our server and software engineer, John Foley, ensures the reliability you count on every time you log in. We're a small, dedicated team, and when you have a question, a real person answers — within one day, every time.
