Breathing Myths: We Need More Oxygen

Updated: Jan 12

At rest, we do not need more oxygen! Near sea level, the air we inhale contains 21% oxygen, whereas the air we exhale contains 15% oxygen. This Real Genius episode draws heavily on Dr. Inna Khazan's clinical experience, extensive writing, and presentations on healthy breathing. It was illustrated by Dani S@unclebelang and written by Fred Shaffer and Zachary Meehan. BioSource releases one new WEBTOON episode weekly to support science literacy.
